Windows 11 ( New windows now runs android apps )

A Fresh new look

We’ve all witnessed and grown with the Microsoft Windows platform. From its early popular versions such as Windows Vista to our current Windows 10.

Windows has had some rejections from its users with its earlier updates, especially with the rolling out of Windows 8, described as having a non-user friendly design . Apart from witnessing the older generation fighting to get to grips with that version I too had my moments of confusion.

Notable Changes

Lets dive into what you would be expecting within this version of windows. Simplicity is key, if you loved the ease of use Windows 7 carried, They couldn’t have made it even simpler.

1. Stylish Design

The aesthetics has really got a bit of a face-lift. From flat legacy designs to a more modernistic look. We can see this looking at the new icons with round corners in comparison to the old flat ones.

The display feels more glossy, like staring at a glass than flat paper. This simplistic look aims to focus more on productivity by reducing all the clutter around, which in my opinion can be somewhat stress revealing.

2. Start Button & Start Menu

This is a huge UI switched. So since forever, we’ve always had the start button on the bottom left corner of the screen, with the start menu popping out on the left as well. Except for Windows 8 which hijacked the entire screen, (a dramatic fail attempt ).

Now with Windows 11, we have the start button centred in the middle, with a few changes on what is being displayed on the startup button. But if you feel sentimental about this change, it provides

the option to drag it to whichever corner you want it to be. Which is pretty awesome.

3. Application Windows ( Snap Controls )

This is a big one for multitaskers and people that use more than one screen.

Ever experienced the struggle, After having orderly placed your applications on an external display, you pulled the HDMI cable out and everything goes crazy. Windows 11 solves this problem by remembering the placing of your applications on the external display so that the next you connect a screen, it all goes back to exactly how you had them placed before.

This comes with a few extra docking options called snap controls, which directly replaces the cascade windows from the previous Windows versions.

4. Better Gaming Experience

Gamers could never be happier, with the Xbox’s GamePass being full integrated into this windows version bumping up the gaming experience to a whole different level. Think of it as Netflix for games, with Xbox working on enhancing and expanding the accessibility of its games. Users will be able to subscribe to this service for a certain fee and be able to access the world of games seamlessly.

5. Running Android Apps

One of the biggest surprises and probably most interesting change, is the ability to run android apps on the Windows 11 operating system. Microsoft has partnered with Amazon store, which serves as the app download center for Windows. Side-loading APKS is also possible.
